Description
DENSO OXY2208 is the direct-fit pre-catalytic air/fuel ratio sensor for early Nissan 370Z VQ37VHR applications. Positioned before the catalytic converter, it supplies mixture feedback used by the ECU to manage fuel delivery and emissions.
This is the upstream Sensor 1 position. It is not the downstream or post-cat oxygen sensor.

Ordering the Correct Quantity
This listing includes one sensor. The VQ37VHR uses one upstream sensor on each exhaust bank, so select a quantity of two only when both Bank 1 Sensor 1 and Bank 2 Sensor 1 are being replaced.
Common Inspection Reasons
- P2A00 — Bank 1 Sensor 1 performance fault
- P2A03 — Bank 2 Sensor 1 performance fault
- Sensor heater, connector or wiring fault
- Slow or inconsistent upstream sensor response confirmed during testing
Please check before ordering:
- Confirm the vehicle was built no later than September 2012.
- Confirm the fault relates to Sensor 1, not the downstream Sensor 2.
- Compare the existing four-pin connector and 375 mm cable routing.
- Confirm the required bank and quantity before ordering.
An upstream sensor fault code does not confirm sensor failure by itself. Wiring faults, exhaust leaks and fuel-delivery problems can produce similar readings, so the cause should be diagnosed before ordering.
