The rear bushing of the trailing arm sits at the wheel-end of the arm, directly controlling how the rear wheel tracks under cornering, braking and acceleration. When it wears, the rear axle loses precise lateral location and the 350Z develops a vague, nervous rear end that is often chased for months before being traced back here. The Nolathane 46302 replaces the factory rubber with purpose-engineered polyurethane that restores rear wheel location and gives the rear end back its composure.
Each end of the trailing arm does a different job. The front bushing absorbs longitudinal loads. The rear bushing controls lateral wheel location. Both need to be in good condition for the rear end to behave predictably. Replacing one without the other leaves the job half done.
