The NTK EC0237 is the camshaft position sensor with angled connector for the Nissan 350Z Z33 equipped with the VQ35DE 3.5L V6 engine. It is a direct OEM replacement supplied with an angled connector and blade-style male terminals. NTK is the world's largest manufacturer of original equipment sensors, part of the NGK Group, supplying sensor technology to major vehicle manufacturers as original equipment. The VQ35DE uses two camshaft sensors in different positions confirm the correct connector type for your bank before ordering. This is the angled connector version. The straight connector version is EC0238.

The camshaft position sensor monitors the rotational speed and position of the camshaft and sends a continuous signal to the ECU, which uses this data to control fuel injection timing and spark timing. A failing sensor causes the ECU to lose accurate cam timing data, resulting in one of the most common causes of check engine lights, misfires, and hard starts on the VQ35DE platform.

Common symptoms of a failing camshaft position sensor:

• Check engine light with fault codes P0340, P0341, P0345, P0346 or similar cam sensor codes

• Engine misfires or rough running

• Hard starting or extended cranking before the engine fires

• Intermittent stalling at idle

• Reduced engine performance and throttle response

Angled connector version only. The VQ35DE uses two camshaft sensors this is the angled connector sensor. For the straight connector sensor see EC0238. Does not fit the 350Z HR (VQ35HR) or 370Z (VQ37VHR) which use different sensors. Confirm the connector type on your existing sensor before ordering.

NTK and Hitachi are the two recommended brands for VQ35DE camshaft sensors — generic aftermarket sensors are known to cause repeat failures on this engine. If one camshaft sensor has failed, replace both at the same time. See EC0238 for the straight connector companion sensor.
